JNL 1240

JNL 1240B
JNL1240B is the choice when your sealing job demands a bit more body and structure. Less fluid than the JNL1240, this compound contains fine black particles, those shiny specs you notice when separating the sticks. These tiny solid inclusions play a big role. They help compensate for surface irregularities between your leak sealing solution and the pipe. No need for improvised solutions like packing or metal shims! With JNL1240B, you’re working in the right way, as per best practices.

JNL 1240B+
When your pipelines conditions get extreme, JNL1240B+ steps in. This is Petroseal’s most robust sealing compound, engineered for large-volume injections and severely damaged or corroded pipework. JNL1240B+ features larger granular fillers and a higher density, which create a powerful mechanical barrier inside the metallic enclosure. These large particles help our compound stay firmly in place and ensure it won’t be flushed out during injection.

JNL 1240F
The latest addition to our water, air, and steam sealing range, JNL1240F brings a new level of adaptability. This unique formula is enriched with reinforcing fibers, making it particularly effective for valve gasket leaks and other applications where extra structural support is required. The fiber load improves the sealing matrix, helping the compound to stay in place even under fluctuating pressures. Like JNL1240B, it also compensates for surface mismatches or alignment issues, but with an additional fibrous backbone that strengthens the solution.
With JNL1240F, you get the precision of a high-performance compound combined with the strength of fiber reinforcement, a must-have solution for complex maintenance challenges.

Specifics compounds

JNL 1242
JNL 1242 is a pink, very fluid compound mainly dedicated to reinjection applications. It is frequently used in flanges, clamps with injection rings, and metallic enclosures. Its fluidity ensures easy reinjection while maintaining stable sealing performance under extreme operating conditions.
JNL 1243
JNL 1243 is a grey, grease-based compound designed for reinjection, particularly in valves. Its greasy texture allows valves to remain operable after an online leak sealing intervention. This makes it highly valuable in automotive and industrial valve applications where functionality must be preserved.


JNL 1243F
JNL 1243F is a fibered variant of JNL 1243. The addition of fibers allows it to act as a gasket, providing an extra sealing layer during reinjections. It is especially effective in automotive valves, where both sealing and operational continuity are essential.
JNL 1246
In water and saturated steam systems, temperature fluctuations are a fact of industrial life. These variations often weaken the mechanical integrity of conventional sealing compounds, causing cracks, shrinkage and reinjection.
Thanks to its elastic properties, JNL1246 absorbs thermal expansion and contraction without losing grip or structure. It ensures stable, watertight sealing even when the process shifts from hot to cold. This makes it the ideal solution for water and saturated steam leaks, delivering long-lasting performance up to 260°C.
For applications beyond this temperature, we recommend our extreme-condition compound, JNL1240.


JNL1246B
Building on the proven performance of JNL1246, JNL1246B goes one step further. Enriched with larger mineral fillers. This compound is specially formulated to compensate for surface misalignments and irregular geometries where metallic solutions fall short. The increased grain size improves the compound’s ability to fill gaps in between the pipe and the metallic solution, and create a reliable seal, even in less-than-perfect conditions. Just like JNL1246, it withstands thermal variation and goes up to 260°C while maintaining elasticity and sealing integrity.
